# Your own M-Pesa till or paybill (Kenya)

By default, M-Pesa payments are collected through IntaSend's own shortcode. You can connect your
own Safaricom **till** or **paybill** instead. STK Push, checkout, the payment button and the
plugins then all collect into your shortcode, with no changes to your integration.

## Before you start

You need:

1. **A shortcode from Safaricom:** a [till number](https://www.safaricom.co.ke/main-mpesa/for-your-business/business-till) or a [paybill](https://www.safaricom.co.ke/main-mpesa/for-your-business/business-paybill).
2. **M-Pesa org portal access** at [org.ke.m-pesa.com](https://org.ke.m-pesa.com). Request it with the shortcode, or later at any Safaricom customer care centre.
3. **A live Daraja app.** Create an account on [Daraja](https://developer.safaricom.co.ke) and [go live](https://developer.safaricom.co.ke/GoLive) with your shortcode. Safaricom emails you the **pass key** when you go live.
4. **No existing callback URLs on the shortcode.** If it's already live with another integration, delete its URLs under Daraja's [URL management](https://developer.safaricom.co.ke/SelfServices?tab=urlmanagement). If you can't, ask Safaricom (FSSSupportTeam@safaricom.co.ke) to remove them, with a letter on your letterhead, signed and stamped, that names the shortcode, the URLs and the reason.

## Connect it

1. In the IntaSend dashboard, go to **Integrations → Applications** and open the [M-Pesa settings](https://payment.intasend.com/integrations/settings/mpesa-c2b/).
2. From your app on Daraja's [My Apps](https://developer.safaricom.co.ke/MyApps) page, copy these into the form:

   | Shortcode | Your paybill number, or for a till, its store (head office) number |
   | Till number | Tills only: the number customers pay to |
   | Consumer key, consumer secret | From your Daraja app |
   | Pass key | From Safaricom's go-live email |

3. Save, then click **Activate**. IntaSend registers its callback URLs on your shortcode.
   To stop, click **Deactivate**.
