# Shopify

The **IntaSend Payments** app adds M-Pesa and card payments to your Shopify checkout. The app is free to
install; you pay IntaSend's normal [transaction fees](https://intasend.com/pricing/).

## 1. Install the app

Open [IntaSend Payments](https://apps.shopify.com/intasend-payments), click **Add app**, then **Install**.

## 2. Link your IntaSend account

Shopify sends you to an IntaSend setup page. Click **Complete setup** and enter:

| Account | The phone number you log in to IntaSend with |
| Public key | Your publishable key |
| API key | Your secret key (API token) |

Find both keys under **Settings → API Keys**. The secret key is shown only once, when you generate it.
If you've lost it, generate a new one, which replaces the old key. Any other integration using the old key will stop working.

Click **Submit**. You're sent back to Shopify.

## 3. Activate

Click **Activate** in Shopify. IntaSend now appears as a payment option at checkout.

## Testing

You can test before going live, for example while your store is still in development:

1. Put the IntaSend app in **test mode**.
2. Complete [step 2](https://developers.intasend.com/guides/plugins/shopify/#2-link-your-intasend-account) with keys from [sandbox](https://sandbox.intasend.com) instead of live keys.
3. Pay with the [test cards](https://developers.intasend.com/guides/testing/#test-cards).

To go live, turn test mode off and repeat step 2 with your [live](https://payment.intasend.com) keys.
